The difference between natural and synthetic latex is the amount of fillers used to produce the final product.
Fillers are used to cut down on the cost of latex foam, and to ensure the final product is more consistent in quality and firmness. Manufacturers use synthetic latex to ensure that each mattress feels consistent and to cut down the cost of the final product.
Natural latex although can still use filler, will have way less than synthetic latex. Always look to see if it is 100% natural latex or only 50% natural latex. Mattresses that are made with 100% natural latex may feel different from one mattress to the other as the lack of fillers prevents consistency but ensures the most pure and natural product.
