Foam mattresses can be separated into 3 basic categories. Foam, Memory Foam, and Latex.
Foam mattresses are the most basic and usually involve a firmer foam core and sometimes a softer foam layer on top for comfort.
Memory Foam mattresses have a firmer foam core with memory foam on top. The thickness and density of the memory foam ranges from various models which affects how the mattress feels. Lastly, we have latex mattresses. Latex is a little more “bouncy” compared to memory foam, and it is by far more resilient to wear and tear.
Latex mattresses can also have a foam core with latex on top or be made entirely out of latex. Latex and memory foam are the most expensive components of a mattress so the more of these materials there are inside, and the higher the quality, the more expensive the mattress will be.
