How long do different mattress types last?

Latex lasts longest, around 10 to 12 years. Quality memory foam and hybrids typically last 7 to 10 years. Traditional innersprings are usually shortest, often 6 to 8 years, as the coils gradually lose tension. Higher-density foams and thicker-gauge coils last longer, so the quality of the materials matters more to lifespan than the mattress type alone.
