Does this memory foam mattress need a box spring?
No, and a traditional box spring is not ideal. This all-foam Chirofoam XF needs a flat, solid surface that fully supports the foam: a platform bed, a slatted base with gaps under about 3 inches, a bunkie board, or an adjustable base. Wide-spaced slats let the foam sag between them and can void the warranty. The cover has a non-skid bottom so the 10-inch mattress grips the base and stays put without a box spring underneath.
