Do I need a box spring with this mattress?
No box spring is required. This mattress's 1000-coil T3 support core is self-supporting and needs only a flat, rigid foundation: a platform bed, slats under 3 inches apart, or a non-flex box foundation. A springy traditional box spring is unnecessary. Since the mattress already stands 14 inches tall, a low-profile foundation keeps the bed at a comfortable height while providing the even support the warranty requires.
