Do I need a box spring for this mattress?
No box spring is required. This 13-inch hybrid needs firm, even support: a platform bed, solid foundation, an adjustable base, or slats under roughly 3 inches apart. An old spring box can flex the coils unevenly and accelerate wear on an already soft bed. In Canada the mattress and any foundation are sold and trialled separately, so have your base sorted before delivery day.
