Why do I sleep hot even with cotton sheets?

Cotton sheets breathe well, so the heat is usually coming from the mattress underneath, not the bedding. Dense memory foam and thick pillow-tops cushion you by hugging your body, which closes off airflow and traps body heat against your skin. Cotton cannot vent heat the mattress will not release. A more breathable mattress, like a hybrid, fixes what better sheets cannot.
