What is the best way to move a bed frame?

Disassemble it rather than wrestling it whole. Strip the bedding and remove the mattress and any foundation first. Photograph each connection before you loosen it, then unscrew the rails, headboard, and footboard, and bag the bolts and brackets together so nothing is lost. Wrap wooden or upholstered panels in moving blankets to prevent scratches. Reassembling is far easier when you have the photos and all the original hardware in one bag.
