What makes a mattress durable?
Durability comes from material quality more than price. Look for high-density comfort foams of 3 pounds or more, thicker-gauge or higher-count coils, a reinforced perimeter, and quality stitching on the cover. Cheap low-density foam is the most common failure point, sagging within a few years. A warranty that specifies the sag depth it covers is also a useful signal of how durable a mattress really is.
