Head and foot motion
The deck articulates at the head and at the foot, so either end moves on its own or the two move together — and every angle in between is one you can stop at.
What the mattress sits on
A steel structure does the carrying, and the non-skid fabric over it stops the mattress shifting while either end is raised. The frame folds, and the slim profile design keeps the built bed low.
3-in-1 12″ adjustable legs
One 12″ leg part, adjustable to change the clearance under the frame — room for storage below, or a lower bed overall.
Power & electrical safety
The USB A & C ports and the LED strip are built into the base itself, and its electrical system is Listed to UL 962 — Household & Commercial Furnishings. Putting it together is straightforward.
Compatibility & Fit
Mattress pairing — works with any mattress marked Compatible with Adjustable Bed Base on its product page — most foam, hybrid and latex models.
Frames it fits inside — there is no clearance to plan for, so the deck can go down into most standard bed frames — and where there is no frame, the 3-in-1 legs hold it up on their own.
Folds for the way in — the frame folds down, which makes narrow stairwells, tight corners and older doorways far less of a problem on setup day.

Getting ready for delivery
- Measure first. Check doorways, corners and stairwells, especially for a King.
- Clear the path. Move pictures, decor and anything you could trip on from halls and stairs.
- Protect floors and steps. Cover delicate floors. In winter, salt the outside steps.
- Tight fit? If the bed has to bend or squeeze through, we may ask you to sign a damage waiver.
Setup upgrades and old mattress removal
- In-room delivery. We carry the bed into the room you choose.
- White-glove setup. We carry it to your room, unbox and assemble it, and take your old mattress to the curb if you need. The packaging stays with you, folded and flattened.
- Old mattress removal on its own. Available in select areas for a fee. Ask our team before you order.

Care & maintenance
- Spot clean the fabric only — damp cloth and mild soap.
- Keep the underside clear so the mechanism never meets an obstruction.
- Snug the legs and bracket hardware after the first month of use, then twice a year.
- Use a flexible mattress designed for adjustable bases.
Troubleshooting basics
- Start with power: reseat the cord, confirm the outlet, skip the power bar while testing.
- Fresh remote batteries before anything else.
- A 30-second unplug resets the control box and clears most glitches.
- Anything more, email support@nationalmattress.ca with your order number — we will take it from there.
Warranty
The Gold carries a 20-year manufacturer warranty (terms in the owner’s manual). One email to support@nationalmattress.ca with your order number and photos or a short video opens the claim — we handle the Serta side for you.
