Real Life Happens.
Your Protection Plan Covers It.

Your manufacturer warranty covers manufacturing defects. Our 10-year Protection Plan covers what actually happens to a mattress: spills, stains, rips, burns, and sagging before a manufacturer will call it a defect.

Every mattress we sell comes with its manufacturer's warranty, and we handle those claims for you. But a manufacturer warranty is a promise about how the mattress was built. It is not a promise about the eight years you sleep on it.

That gap is real, and it is where most people get caught. A single spill can void a manufacturer warranty from that day forward. A bed frame the manufacturer does not approve of can do the same. And an indentation that is clearly there, but not deep enough to meet a published threshold, is not a defect as far as the manufacturer is concerned. The Protection Plan exists to cover exactly those situations, and every claim is handled by our own team.

💧

Spills and Stains

Coffee, wine, a sick child, a pet accident. One stain is enough to end most manufacturer warranties permanently. The Protection Plan covers the stain and the damage underneath it, so a single bad night does not cost you your coverage.

🔧

Rips, Tears and Burns

Accidental damage is not a manufacturing defect, so no manufacturer warranty covers it. This does. Rips, tears, punctures and burns are all included.

📉

Sagging Before the Threshold

Manufacturers only pay out once an indentation passes a set depth, usually around 1.5 inches, or 0.75 inches on Tempur-Pedic. We cover premature softening before it ever gets there.

🛏

Your Foundation, Your Choice

Slats, a platform bed, an older box spring. Manufacturers can refuse a claim over the base you sleep on. Under the Protection Plan we will not void your coverage over your foundation.

Which One Covers You

Every mattress from National Mattress comes with three separate layers of coverage. They do different jobs, and knowing which is which saves you a lot of time when something goes wrong.

How the Protection Plan Works

There is no deductible, no registration to remember, and no third party administrator between you and us.

1

Add it when you buy

The Protection Plan is added to your mattress at the time of purchase. One plan covers one mattress. The price is shown before you add it, and nothing is added to your cart unless you choose it.

2

It stays with your mattress for 10 years

Coverage starts the day your mattress is delivered and runs for ten years. If you exchange your mattress during your 365-night sleep trial, the plan follows you to the new one. There is nothing to activate and nothing to renew.

3

Tell us when something happens

Submit a claim online with a few photos and a description of what happened. You do not need a receipt for the plan itself, and you do not need to measure anything. Our team reviews it directly.

4

We repair or replace it

If your claim is approved we arrange a repair or a replacement mattress. Your claim is handled start to finish by the same National Mattress team that sold you the bed.

"Most protection plans are sold by one company and paid out by another, and you only find out which is which when you file a claim. Ours is not. You buy it from us, you claim it with us, and the same team answers the phone either way."

What Is Not Covered

We would rather be clear about this up front than have you find out at claim time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Protection Plan replace my manufacturer warranty?
No. It sits on top of it. Your manufacturer warranty still covers manufacturing defects for its full term, and we still file those claims for you. The Protection Plan covers the things a manufacturer warranty was never meant to cover, and it also covers you if a manufacturer refuses a defect claim because of a stain or your foundation.
My manufacturer warranty was denied because of a stain. Does the plan help?
Yes. That is one of the main reasons the plan exists. A stain that voids your manufacturer coverage does not void your Protection Plan, so a defect the manufacturer will no longer look at is still something we can act on.
Do I need a mattress protector to make a claim?
No. A protector is not required to claim under the Protection Plan. We still recommend one, because preventing the damage is better than claiming for it, and a protector is required to keep your manufacturer warranty valid against stains.
Do I have to measure the sagging?
No. A manufacturer claim needs a measured indentation photographed against a straight edge, because the manufacturer pays out against a published depth. A Protection Plan claim does not work that way. Send us photos and tell us what changed, and our team assesses it.
What if my bed is on slats or a platform base?
That is fine for your Protection Plan. Manufacturers often require a specific foundation and can refuse a claim if you do not have one, which is one of the most common reasons a warranty claim fails. We will not refuse your Protection Plan claim over the base your mattress sits on.
What happens if I exchange my mattress during the sleep trial?
Your plan moves with you. If you exchange your mattress within your 365-night sleep trial, the Protection Plan transfers to the new mattress and keeps its original ten-year term.
How much does it cost?
The price is shown to you before you add it, and nothing is added to your order unless you choose it. There is no deductible, and there is nothing further to pay when you make a claim.
Can I add it after I have bought my mattress?
The Protection Plan is added at the time of purchase. If you have just placed an order and want to add one, contact our team as soon as possible and we will tell you whether it can still be added to your order.
Does it cover an adjustable base as well?
Adjustable bases have their own separate plan, covering the motor, frame, remote, lift mechanism and factory wiring for ten years. It is offered the same way, at the time of purchase.
