Frame — wood throughout
Under the fabric sits a solid wood frame, built to the full footprint of the size it carries. Wood is what lets a foundation this shallow stay this rigid: the profile comes down to 5″ while the load still spreads across the entire surface.
Top surface — non-slip fabric
Non-quilted and non-skid: flat, with nothing to compress, and grippy enough to keep the mattress from wandering. The frame beneath it is vented, so air keeps moving under the bed. Fabric may vary.
Care
Spot clean only — a damp cloth on the spot that needs it, then leave the top to dry completely before the mattress goes back on.
