How To Set Up Your Bed-in-a-Box Foam Mattress!

We all have a bed in our lives. It's where we go to relax and sleep, so it is important to find one that makes you feel comfortable. There are many types of mattresses out there, but I am going to focus on the most popular type: memory foam mattresses. Memory foam mattresses are made with materials like polyurethane or latex which allows them to form around your body as you lay down on it; they provide great support for your back and neck while you sleep! Memory foam mattresses come compressed in a box for easy shipping. This article will show how to set up your new memory foam mattress once it arrives at your doorstep!

What Is A Bed In A Box Mattress?

The online mattress industry is growing quickly, with standing-room-only crowds at the few Mattress Fairs each year. Many would-be buyers are confused by all the options available to them, and end up purchasing something that doesn't quite meet their needs. One type of bed in a box that seems to be especially popular among online shoppers is a "foam or memory foam mattress", which can help to eliminate motion transfer between sleeping partners. These memory foam mattresses can be compressed and rolled up conveniently!

A bed in a box consists of special fabric sleeves for holding memory foam or latex beads (or both). All components are sewn inside an outer zipper or liner cover to keep it intact. The mattress requires no tools to set up.

Bed in a box mattresses are good for those who don't want to deal with "the smell" of memory foam or latex, as these materials will off-gas for some time before they stop emitting odors (that's why they're often covered by a thin sheet of plastic when new).

All of the above features make bed-in-box mattresses perfect for transporting in small spaces like travel trailers and recreational vehicles.

Where To Unbox Your Mattress?

The first thing you should do before setting up your new bed is moving it into the room where it will reside. The mattress needs to be placed on a sturdy, flat surface like a box-spring or platform for proper support.

Putting your mattress on your foundation can make the process much easier as it prevents you from having to lift it and struggle to put it in position from the ground up.

Unboxing Your New Mattress

Once you’ve received the mattress, first remove it from its box and place it on your bed. If another person is helping too, they can stand by while cutting open at an angle with scissors to put everything into place once finished unboxing; alternatively if alone then lay down flat so as not risk possible injury during handling of any boxes or wrapping materials since there could be sharp edges involved! Once removed keep plastic coverings over each item until ready for use - this will help prevent unwanted messes which are easy enough cleaned off surfaces should anything happen accidentally

Unrolling The Mattress

The next step is to cut the plastic that’s keeping your mattress rolled up and then start to roll out onto one end of the bed until it's completely flat. There may be some plastic left underneath between the mattress and the foundation. Simply pull it out from underneath. You may cut out any remaining plastic that is left.

Tips: Don't leave your new mattress in the box for more than three months. The pressure of being rolled up tight can permanently damage it with time, so if you're not home after delivery ask them to reschedule! Most companies are happy to do this at no cost.

Wait A Few Hours

Next, you should wait to let your mattress decompress so that you can finally enjoy it. You may want to check with the manufacturer’s guidelines when it comes to this step because some mattresses need longer than others for their memory foam material and odorant molecules break down at different rates in a controlled environment, which means there is no set time frame on how long they will take from being opened up until they are ready for use again. To be safe though, allow 24-72 hours before sleeping on them after opening all packages as an average amount of time depending upon how strong any particular smell might have been present.

It's important to wait before testing your new mattress, as this will give the compressed memory foam padding time to become fully supportive. This should be done in order for you to have an even more comfortable sleep experience on an uncomfortable or unsupportive surface!

Dress It Up!

When you're all set to use your new mattress, make sure it's dressed up with sheets and covers. It is recommended that pillows be used for extra support since they can help align the spine in just about any position!

You can now enjoy your new bed-in-a-box!

Things To Watch Out For When Unboxing Your Mattress

1. Cutting The Box

When you cut the plastic wrapping off your mattress, be careful so as not to accidentally damage or cut it. There may be two layers of this around and in addition, it could have been vacuum-sealed too! Be cautious while doing all these steps but once its unwrapped from its rolled state on top of a bedframe watch out because there will still be other materials that can hurt if touched by mistake during disposal such or such mistakes should never go unnoticed though- get rid of any harmful objects before going ahead with anything else like vacuuming which leaves oils/gases behind after use.

2. Make Sure It Fully Expands

You should make sure your new bed in a box fully expands before using it. This will ensure that the mattress is properly formed and structurally sound, which can help prevent deterioration or degenerative joint disease over time

Decompression Tips

There are a few easy steps to speed up the decompression process for your mattress. First, open windows and ensure airflow by setting some fans near each of them in order to prevent any stagnant pockets from forming around doors or walls where they're not needed; second use hands or feet on both sides of an expanded guest bed (or simply flatten it) until all air holes have been filled-in with material released through squeezing at either end while moving straight down along its length towards midpoint before releasing pressure altogether so you release expansion equally across the entire surface area.

Is Your Mattress Not Expanding?

To give your new mattress the best chance of success, consider raising its temperature. This will help it expand faster and increase comfort in use! Remember that mattresses should naturally begin to decompress after you unbox them - but if this doesn't happen quickly enough for your liking then there are steps you can take (like elevating) which may speed things up a bit more.
