What holds the mattress up, and how to look after it.
Frame — solid wood
Wood is the whole structural story: a solid wood frame sized to the mattress footprint, carrying load across the full surface rather than a handful of contact points. It is vented through the build, so air moves rather than sits. A Queen frame weighs 49 lb.
Cover — non-skid top
The top is a non-quilted, non-slip fabric — flat by design, with nothing between the mattress and the frame to compress over the years. It grips the mattress underside so the two stay square to each other. Fabric may vary.
Care
Spot clean only. Work on the fabric with a damp cloth where it needs attention, and let the top dry fully before the mattress goes back down.
