An inch of comfort foam sits over a dense NM HD+ support core, so the NM 6″ reads firm and on-the-surface — a true Firm 7/10. There's just enough top layer to take the hard edge off, but you rest above the bed rather than settling in. Combined with its fast recovery, the surface stays prompt and supportive underfoot.

Despite the compact build, the NM 6″ sleeps cool — peak surface temperature holds in the 30.1-32.9 °C range, with the rise over baseline in the 8.1-10.9 °C range. The firm surface is the key: with only an inch of comfort foam you rest on top instead of sinking into a warm pocket, and the SoftLux breathable cotton cover carries heat off the surface. By morning it eases back into the 25.0-29.1 °C range. As an all-foam bed it can't flush warmth through an open core, but with so little to sink into, very little body heat stays trapped against you.

Off-Gassing 8.5

There's barely anything to air out here — the off-gassing clears in 12-24 hours, with the initial odor rated Low. The thin all-foam build helps, since less material means less to off-gas, and so does the sourcing: the foams are CertiPUR-US certified against strict low-VOC limits, and the bed is built locally in Ontario and roll-packed just before delivery rather than compressed in a box for months in transit. A quick airing after you unbox it and any faint scent is gone. The natural cotton cover keeps the build clean.

Sleep Position & Body Weight Fit

Back and stomach sleepers are the natural fit — the firm core keeps the spine level and the hips supported. Lighter sleepers and average builds will appreciate the easy-moving, on-top surface. Strict side sleepers and heavier bodies who want a deep shoulder-and-hip cradle should look softer, since the thin comfort layer offers limited contouring.
