Comfort IQ™ Firmness Index (1–100)

Firmness is a "feel" measurement. Most mattress retailers use subjective labels like "medium" or "plush" that mean different things from one brand to the next. Comfort IQ™ replaces those vague labels with a precise 1–100 score you can filter and compare online or use to find similar options across different brands.

Lower scores indicate a softer, more contouring feel that cradles your body. Mid-range scores offer the classic "medium" balance of cushion and support that works well for most sleepers. Higher scores describe a firmer, more supportive surface where you sleep more "on top" of the mattress rather than sinking into it.

Important: Firmness is not "better" or "worse." Two mattresses can feel similar in firmness but perform very differently in areas like cooling, motion isolation, or durability — so we also publish full performance scores for every mattress.
