National Mattress carries 17 brand lines in one place — 341 products you can compare side by side across our seven Ontario showrooms and online. Twelve of those lines sell mattresses: Beautyrest (43 mattresses), Serta (31), Springwall (31), NM (25), Sealy (24), Serta iComfort (16), Stearns & Foster (14), Mlily (13), Tempur-Pedic (9), Evergreen (8), Marshall Mattress (6) and Chirofoam (4). The other five are accessory lines — HealthGuard (16 protectors and bedding sets), Natura (10 pillows, bedding and protectors), Leggett & Platt (6 frames and adjustable bases), Sinca (3 bed frames) and Aireloom (2 pillows).
Across the 224 mattresses on these pages the comfort spread is 78 firm, 63 plush, 62 medium and 17 extra firm, and every brand line that sells a mattress here offers at least two of those levels — so choosing a feel almost never forces you into a single manufacturer. Beyond the mattresses sit 22 boxsprings, 18 pillows, 12 bed frames, 9 adjustable bases, 9 protectors, 6 bedding sets and 2 headboards. Every mattress on these pages carries our 365-night sleep trial, and the advice you get is from staff who are not paid commission.

How to choose between mattress brands
A brand name tells you who built a mattress, not how it will feel. Two beds from the same maker can sleep completely differently, and two beds from rival makers can sleep almost identically. That is why we group the catalogue by brand for people who already know what they want, and by comfort, size and construction for people who do not.
A useful order of operations: settle on feel first, then size, then brand. Among the 224 mattresses on these pages the split is 78 firm, 63 plush, 62 medium and 17 extra firm (4 are not yet classified), and every one of the twelve brand lines that sells a mattress offers at least two of those levels. Picking a feel narrows the field without narrowing you to one manufacturer.
What each line actually stocks
Worth knowing before you click, because several of these are not mattress brands at all.
The mattress lines. Beautyrest is the deepest range we carry at 43 mattresses plus 3 boxsprings, and it is the line that brought pocketed coils — individually wrapped springs, which is what limits motion transfer between two sleepers — into mass production. Serta spans 31 mattresses alongside boxsprings, frames, an adjustable base and pillows, and its Serta iComfort range adds 16 more, all mattresses. Springwall runs 31 mattresses and 3 boxsprings. NM is our house line: 25 mattresses plus the widest accessory spread of any brand here (frames, bedding, boxsprings, headboards, protectors). Sealy carries 24 mattresses plus frames, boxsprings and an adjustable base. Stearns & Foster sits at the premium end with 14 mattresses. Mlily brings 13 mattresses and 9 pillows. Tempur-Pedic — the brand that brought memory foam to mattresses — has 9 here, plus boxsprings and protectors. Evergreen (8) and Chirofoam (4) are mattress-only lines, and Marshall Mattress adds 6 mattresses and 3 boxsprings.
The accessory lines. HealthGuard (16) is protectors and bedding. Natura (10) is pillows, bedding and protectors. Leggett & Platt (6) is 5 bed frames and 1 adjustable base. Sinca (3) is bed frames. Aireloom (2) is pillows. None of the five stocks a mattress with us today.
Questions we get asked most
Which mattress brand is best? There is no single answer, and any retailer who gives you one is selling you something. The best brand is whichever one makes a mattress in the feel and size you need at a price you are comfortable with. Our staff are not paid commission, so there is no brand any of them gains from steering you toward.
Can I compare brands in person? Yes, across seven Ontario showrooms. Floor models are shared across the network: if a style is on display at any one of our stores, its sizes are available to order company-wide, stock permitting — the exception is clearance and discontinued stock, which is sold as-is and cannot be backordered.
What if I choose wrong? Every mattress here carries a 365-night sleep trial. A mattress needs a few weeks to settle and your body needs a few weeks to adapt, which is why a year is more useful than thirty days. Accessories are a different matter and worth checking before you buy: pillows, protectors and bedding carry a shorter return window, and adjustable bases and bed frames are final sale once opened.
Do you price match? Yes, and we go a step further — we match a lower price on the same or a comparable mattress at any authorised Canadian dealer and then beat it, and because model names differ between retailers we compare on construction rather than on the name on the label. Conditions do apply, including exclusions for clearance and liquidation stock, floor models, bundled pricing and pricing errors, so check the price-match policy or just ask us before you buy.
Talk to someone who is not on commission
If comparing 17 brand lines is not how you want to spend your week, skip it. Call 1-800-631-4883, email support@nationalmattress.ca, or walk into any of our seven Ontario showrooms and describe how you sleep — position, temperature, aches, and who else is in the bed. Our sleep experts will narrow 341 products down to two or three worth lying on. They are paid the same whichever one you pick, and the same whether you buy today or not.
