Firm Medium Tight Top Copper, Charcoal or Graphite Infusion Memory Foam All
Firm mattresses give you the most support of our everyday comfort levels — a solid, stable surface that keeps your spine aligned instead of sinking in. Firm is the go-to for back and stomach sleepers, heavier-weight sleepers who need extra support, and anyone looking for orthopedic, back-friendly comfort; side sleepers or those who like a softer feel may prefer our medium or plush options. Choose from tight-top, foam, euro-top and hybrid builds across Sealy, Serta, Beautyrest, Stearns & Foster, iComfort, Tempur-Pedic, Chirofoam and our own NM line — from budget-friendly models at $59 to premium, with free delivery across Canada. • Feel: firm gives a solid, supportive surface with minimal sink-in • Best for: back and stomach sleepers, heavier-weight sleepers, and orthopedic / back-pain support • Consider softer if you sleep on your side or want more cushioning — see our medium or plush options • Constructions: tight-top (most firm beds), foam, euro-top and hybrid • Brands: Sealy, Serta, Beautyrest, Stearns & Foster, iComfort, Tempur-Pedic, Chirofoam, Springwall & NM • Prices: from $59 (budget) to premium — our widest price range • Want the firmest feel? Medium-firmness mattresses — often called medium-firm — sit right between plush and firm, which is why they're the most popular and versatile feel we carry. You get enough cushioning to relieve pressure with enough support to keep your spine aligned, making medium a safe choice for back sleepers, combination sleepers who change positions through the night, and couples who need a compromise between two preferences. Shop medium models from Sealy, Serta, Beautyrest, Stearns & Foster, iComfort and Tempur-Pedic across memory foam, hybrid, euro-top, pillow-top and tight-top builds — with free delivery across Canada. • Feel: medium sits between plush and firm — balanced and the most versatile of our four comfort levels • Also called "medium-firm" — the middle of the firmness scale • Best for: back sleepers, combination sleepers, couples, and most body types • Consider plush if you sleep on your side; firm if you sleep on your stomach or want more support • Constructions: euro-top, tight-top, pillow-top, memory foam and hybrid • Brands: Sealy, Serta, Beautyrest, Stearns & Foster, iComfort, Tempur-Pedic, Springwall & NM • Prices: from $171 to premium
A tight top mattress has its comfort layers sewn directly into the cover, so the surface is flat and taut with no extra cushion on top. You feel more of the support underneath, and the edge is the firmest and cleanest of the three top styles. Tight tops are also called smooth or traditional tops, and suit back and stomach sleepers and anyone who prefers a firmer, more supportive surface.
These mattresses blend copper, charcoal, graphite or similar minerals into their foam layers or cover fabric. These materials conduct heat well, helping move warmth away from your body, and are also used to help keep the mattress fresh by resisting odour. A good place to start if you sleep warm and want cooling built into the materials themselves.
Every mattress here has at least one layer of memory foam, in the comfort layers or quilted into the cover. Memory foam softens with body heat and slowly moulds to your shape, easing pressure at the shoulders and hips and absorbing movement. You will find it in all-foam beds and in hybrids, where it sits above pocket coils. For all-foam memory foam beds only, use Mattress Type.
