Medium Springwall® Hypoallergenic Mattresses Mattress Selector

Medium-firmness mattresses — often called medium-firm — sit right between plush and firm, which is why they're the most popular and versatile feel we carry. You get enough cushioning to relieve pressure with enough support to keep your spine aligned, making medium a safe choice for back sleepers, combination sleepers who change positions through the night, and couples who need a compromise between two preferences. Shop medium models from Sealy, Serta, Beautyrest, Stearns & Foster, iComfort and Tempur-Pedic across memory foam, hybrid, euro-top, pillow-top and tight-top builds — with free delivery across Canada. • Feel: medium sits between plush and firm — balanced and the most versatile of our four comfort levels • Also called "medium-firm" — the middle of the firmness scale • Best for: back sleepers, combination sleepers, couples, and most body types • Consider plush if you sleep on your side; firm if you sleep on your stomach or want more support • Constructions: euro-top, tight-top, pillow-top, memory foam and hybrid • Brands: Sealy, Serta, Beautyrest, Stearns & Foster, iComfort, Tempur-Pedic, Springwall & NM • Prices: from $171 to premium

How the Mattress Selector Works

The selector asks the questions a good salesperson asks in the first two minutes — who the bed is for, your sleep position, your body type, where you ache, how warm you sleep, the feel you prefer, whether you want a pillow top, and (optionally) your budget — then uses your answers to narrow the range down to a shortlist. It draws on the same mattresses you can browse by hand, including Beautyrest, Serta, Sealy, Springwall, Tempur-Pedic and Stearns & Foster.

Answer the feel question honestly rather than aspirationally — if you’ve slept well on firm beds your whole life, say firm. Side sleepers generally need more give at the shoulder and hip, back and stomach sleepers want less sink so the spine stays neutral, and body weight changes how deeply any mattress compresses — which is why two people can lie on the same bed and honestly call it soft and firm. Whatever the selector suggests is a starting point, not a verdict: you can lie on the result at any of our seven Ontario showrooms, and every mattress it recommends carries the 365-night sleep trial.

A Filter, Not an Oracle

It narrows the full mattress range to a shortlist using what you tell it about how you sleep — treat the result as a starting point for browsing, not a verdict.

Matched to How You Sleep

Sleep position drives support needs: side sleepers generally need more give at the shoulder and hip, while back and stomach sleepers usually do better with less sink.

Protected by the 365-Night Trial

No form can know how a bed feels after three weeks — the 365-night sleep trial covers that part. Every mattress it recommends carries the trial, clearance and discontinued stock excepted — that’s sold as-is.

No Commission, No Steering

Our sleep experts aren’t paid commission — they earn the same whichever mattress you pick, and the same whether you buy today or not.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Mattress Selector

What does the mattress selector ask?
Who the bed is for, your sleep position, your body type, where you ache, how warm you sleep, the feel you prefer, whether you want a pillow top, and your budget. Budget is optional — leave it blank and you’ll still see a range of matches.
Is the mattress quiz accurate?
It’s accurate about what it can measure and silent about the rest. It narrows the field using what you told it about position, body type and feel — but it can’t tell you which of three well-matched mattresses you’ll personally love. Only lying on them can, which is what our showrooms and the 365-night sleep trial are for.
Will it push me toward expensive mattresses?
Nobody here earns more for selling you a dearer bed — our staff aren’t paid commission. What’s true is that better-built mattresses tend to cost more, so a shortlist weighted toward quality can skew upward. If that happens, set a budget and run it again, or sort the results by price and work from the other end.
Do I have to use the selector to shop?
No. If you already know what you want, browse all mattresses directly and filter by feel — plush to extra firm — by type like memory foam or hybrid, or by size. The selector exists for the much more common case of not knowing where to start.
Can I try my recommendation in person?
Yes — find your nearest of our seven Ontario showrooms and lie on your shortlist. Floor models are shared across the network: if a style is on display at any one store, its sizes are available to order company-wide, stock permitting.
What if the recommendation turns out to be wrong?
Then it’s wrong, and the 365-night sleep trial is how you fix it. A mattress needs a few weeks to break in and your body needs a few weeks to adjust — any trial short enough to expire before that has happened isn’t much of a trial.

Prefer to Browse — or Talk to a Person?

The selector is a shortcut, not a requirement. Browse the full range at your own pace, or visit a showroom and tell a non-commissioned sleep expert how you sleep — they do the same narrowing by hand, with better follow-up questions than any form can ask.
