What is Talalay latex, and how is it different from other latex?

Talalay describes how the latex is cured. The mould is only partly filled, air is drawn out under vacuum, and the foam is flash frozen before baking, which produces a more open and evenly aerated cell structure. The result is lighter, springier and more breathable than Dunlop latex, which is poured into a full mould and cures denser and firmer toward the bottom.

Should I choose a solid latex core pillow or a granulated latex one?

Choose the solid core if you want consistent, supportive height that holds through the night and never needs fluffing; it feels buoyant and pushes back a little. Choose granulated if you prefer a pillow that moulds around your head and that you can reshape, or if you want to tune the height by moving fill around. Both breathe well, because both are latex.

What does 300GSM washable wool actually do?

GSM measures the weight of wool per square metre, so it tells you how much fill is present. On this page that wool is in the duvets and the mattress protector, not in a pillow. Wool's real value is moisture management: it takes up perspiration as vapour and releases it again, so the surface against you stays dry rather than damp. Washable means the wool is treated so laundering will not felt it.

Do latex pillows have a smell?

It fades over several days to a couple of weeks if you leave the pillow unwrapped in a ventilated room.
