Memory foam mattresses are all-foam beds, with no springs, and at least one memory foam comfort layer. They contour to your body, relieving pressure at the hips and shoulders while absorbing movement, so you are unlikely to feel a partner turn over. A tight top mattress has its comfort layers sewn directly into the cover, so the surface is flat and taut with no extra cushion on top.
